Part 5 — Cleo Cleo met two dirty local dogs with fleas. They barked and said threateningly, “Nice cat!” Cleo was red and clever. She did not run. She said, “Do you know that a big sausage is behind the barn?” The dogs ran to the barn. Cleo climbed a tree and laughed. Then it started to rain. The dogs came back wet and angry. Cleo said, “I only said there is a sausage. I did not say it was for you.” She came down, proud and dry under a big leaf.
