Четыре месяца назад местная жительница Ирина похоронила свою мать. Спустя месяц, 11 июня, она обнаружила в лампадках обгоревшие чужие фотографии. A Kaliningrad expert in the funeral business, Alexey Tatarenkov, believes that the cause of the fire could have been an accident. According to him, the lamps could have filled with water, which, in combination with sunlight, could have caused a fire. However, Irina does not agree with this explanation. She believes that there was either an intentional arson or negligence in refueling a gasoline lawn mower, although this option seems unlikely to her, as the fire would not have spread to a large area. Irina is convinced that it is about vandalism, which remains uncontrolled. The administration of the cemetery only shrugs, answering: "So it happens, we don't know how it happened." Irina tried to install her own surveillance camera, but was refused. At the moment, cameras are only installed at the administrative building. Irina notes that the cemetery gates are closed for car entry at 17:00, but access to the territory through the gate remains round the clock.
