Today students from NSMU and SAFU visited Kholmogory — a small village full of history. They visited the Resurrection of Christ Church in the village of Khetka (Upper Matigory), went to the local history museum where learned about the special cows and the of the Brunswick family in exile, and walked around the old buildings of Kholmogory. The village is also known for its connection to Mikhail Lomonosov - the first Russian scholar of worldwide importance, a scientist, poet, and writer. The trip gave everyone a close look at local life and traditions. Big thanks to the guides and museum staff for their warm welcome and interesting stories!
