✨NSMU Students and Faculty Participate in the 13th Northern Interethnic Forum

✨NSMU Students and Faculty Participate in the 13th Northern Interethnic Forum Students from the Northern State Medical University (NSMU)—including international students—attended the 13th Northern Interethnic Forum, held in observance of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. 🔸The forum brought together representatives of various ethnic groups, public organizations, government authorities, and young people, serving as a platform for dialogue on cultural diversity, the preservation of traditions, and the strengthening of interethnic harmony. The forum’s program was both rich and diverse. The opening ceremony featured an awards presentation honoring residents of the Arkhangelsk Region for their contributions to strengthening the unity of Russia’s peoples, as well as the winners of the regional contest for children and youth titled "People Are Different—and That’s a Good Thing!" 🔸Attendees had the opportunity to participate in "Northern Craftsmanship" workshops, take photos in the "Russia in Every Face" photo booth, explore the cultures and traditions of various ethnic groups, and join thematic sessions focused on cultural continuity, social harmony, youth-oriented ethnic policy, and the prevention of extremism. The program also included excursions to the Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts and the Arkhangelsk Local Lore Museum. For NSMU students, the forum provided a chance to gain a deeper understanding of Russia’s cultural diversity, learn about the traditions of different peoples, and engage with representatives of various cultures. It was especially valuable that the university’s international students took part; such encounters foster mutual understanding, help identify common ground, and strengthen bonds of friendship. 🔸The unity of peoples begins with respect for one another’s culture, traditions, and history!
