On Masters and Muses. The Book We Won't Name. Yet.
On Masters and Muses. The Book We Won't Name. Yet. There is still plenty of summer left, and that is exactly the right moment to begin making pleasant plans. Autumn feels far more welcoming when there is something in it to look forward to. So here is a small promise. The Glitterati programme for the new season is ready, and we shall be releasing it very soon. But we begin, quietly, with the books. This autumn brings 3 books to the Club's Book Sessions. The first book is the only novel ever written by the wife of one of the most celebrated writers of the twentieth century. She sent the manuscript to his own publisher without telling her husband. He was furious, halted the publication, and demanded the novel be rewritten. She had used, he said, his material. The material in question was their life. Who is she? ♥️ Vera Nabokov 🔥 Zelda Fitzgerald 🙏 Nora Joyce 👍 Sofia Tolstaya
