Chekhov called it a stupid vaudeville. 🎭 The Bear is a one-act comedy by Chekhov who joked that he had written a stupid vaudeville that was enjoying surprising success precisely because it was stupid. On Wednesday 4 November we read it aloud together in English, in an atmospheric place in the city. ‼️All the seats are now booked: the play has only 3 parts, so even with a rotating cast we want to keep this first reading cosy.
