A resident of Mariupol was sentenced to 23 years in prison for attempting to blow up an administration building. Alexei Khanov was detained by employees of the FSB Directorate for the DPR last year. On the instructions of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, he removed components for an improvised explosive device from hiding places and planned to detonate it in one of the buildings of local government bodies.
