Историческая справка (на английском) Work on the E 10 light tank destroyer began in 1944 as part of the Entwicklung program with the aim of maximum unification and simplification of production. In terms of layout, the vehicle was similar to the Hetzer, with a low profile, no turret, and sloped armor plates. The chassis had a staggered roadwheel arrangement with four roadwheels per side, and the suspension was built on external bars fixed to the outer hull. The engine and hydrodynamic transmission were located in the rear in a single compartment, which simplified servicing and increased the volume of the fighting compartment, while a removable rear armor plate and engine-transmission compartment cover made it possible to quickly demount the power unit. The project remained at the drafting stage and was not implemented due to the war ending.
