LC Arkhangelsk — the local committee of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) at NSMU — is the best local committee of the National Union of Medical Students! The National General Assembly of the National Union of Medical Students (NUMS) was held in Moscow. The delegation of the LC Arkhangelsk local committee took an active part in the assembly, which brought together representatives from medical universities across the country. During the meeting, the participants discussed the role of medical universities in implementing the concept of Russia’s humanitarian policy abroad, strengthened cooperation between universities, introduced amendments to the NUMS Constitution, identified priority areas for the organisation’s development, and approved the work plan for the current academic year. ❗The main achievement of the assembly was the victory of LC Arkhangelsk in the competition for the best NUMS local committee. When assessing the work of student teams, particular importance is given to their activity, initiative, implemented projects, and contribution to the development of the student medical movement. The victory is recognition of the work done by the NSMU team and its involvement in the life of the professional student community. “For us, this victory is a great joy and an incentive to move forward. Participation in NUMS gives students the opportunity to exchange experience with colleagues from other medical universities, find like‑minded people, and implement their own initiatives. We have new projects and tasks ahead, and we want more and more NSMU students to get involved in this work,” said Artur Abramov, representative of LC Arkhangelsk. ❗Another important piece of news is that, following a vote, it was decided to schedule the spring National General Assembly for May 2027 at the Northern State Medical University. Holding the event at NSMU will allow Arkhangelsk to host representatives from medical universities across the country and create additional opportunities for professional networking, exchange of experience, and the development of student initiatives. 🎉 We congratulate the LC Arkhangelsk team on their well‑deserved victory and thank the assembly participants for their trust!
