The game was originally planned to release this year on PS5 and PC. 🎮 Developer Ember Lab explained that they need more time to "deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality" of the first game. "Pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver," the studio said. The sequel will be a linear adventure with "broader and deeper scope" than Bridge of Spirits. Kena now has new elemental abilities and will be joined by spirit companions to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. The story takes her to the island of Kosmora, where she seeks a cure for her affliction and tries to reconnect with a friend from her past.
