Today, the Russian Navy celebrates its 3️⃣3️⃣0️⃣th anniversary, marking more than three centuries of maritime history, service, and tradition. 👑The history of the Russian Navy began in 1696, when Tsar Peter the Great established Russia's first regular navy. That year, the Boyar Duma adopted the historic resolution, "There shall be sea vessels," laying the foundation for the nation's naval power. 🛳️Navy Day is traditionally celebrated across Russia with naval parades, ceremonial ship reviews, the raising of the St. Andrew's flag, wreath-laying ceremonies in honor of fallen sailors, concerts, fireworks, and open-ship visits, allowing the public to learn more about naval service. Veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families gather to honor the generations who have served at sea. ⭐️On this special anniversary, we extend our sincere congratulations to all sailors, officers, veterans, and everyone connected with the Russian Navy. Fair winds and following seas, good health, and continued success in your service!
