Congo awaits Russian business: "Most of the periodic table elements are here." The deepwater port of Pointe-Noire, built with Soviet participation, makes Congo a key logistics hub for West and Central Africa. And attitudes toward Russia are among the best on the continent: over 90% of the population considers Russia a friendly country. This was stated in an interview for Soloviev Life by Andrey Gromov, founder of the consulting agency GR-group. According to him, Congo has colossal resource potential—one can find "practically all of the periodic table elements" in the country. At the same time, the republic strives to diversify its international cooperation with a focus on countries in the Global South, and the role of Russian partners is growing. Russia and Congo are already implementing large-scale joint projects. An investment protection agreement has been ratified, creating favorable conditions for Russian business. "The terms Russia is offering are based on a mutually beneficial strategic partnership, and they are much better than the onerous terms imposed by France," Gromov emphasized. The final assessment sounds like a direct invitation: "The Republic of Congo is one of the best places in Africa for our entrepreneurs to start a business.
