✨NSMU CULTURAL COMMITTEE Organised 2 Day Navratri Festival at NSMU Sports Zal✨ Navratri is a vibrant nine-night festival celebrating the divine feminine energy and the triumph of good over evil. It is joyously marked by traditional prayers, colorful attire, and the rhythmic, energetic beats of Garba and Dandiya dances. To honor this festive spirit, we started with Aarti devoting to Maa Durga then moved to electrifying Garba Night filled with high energy, beautiful traditional attire, and mesmerizing performances. Additionally, we organized a one-day Garba workshop where participants learned the traditional dance steps, bringing our community together in a joyous celebration of culture, rhythm, and togetherness.

Today students from NSMU and SAFU visited Kholmogory — a small village full of history. They visited the Resurrection of Christ Church in the village of Khetka (Upper Matigory), went to the local history museum where learned about the special cows and the of the Brunswick family in exile, and walked around the old buildings of Kholmogory. The village is also known for its connection to Mikhail Lomonosov - the first Russian scholar of worldwide importance, a scientist, poet, and writer. The trip gave everyone a close look at local life and traditions. Big thanks to the guides and museum staff for their warm welcome and interesting stories!

What a Beautiful Evening at State Academic Northern Russian Folk Choir ✨ Foreign students had such a wonderful time immersing ourselves in the beauty of Russian culture. We sang soulful Russian songs together, danced to amazing Russian music, and even had a small orchestra performance - it was just magical! 🎶💃🕺 It was more than just an event, it was a true mixture of cultures, of hearts and smiles. You could see the happiness on everyone's faces. We laughed, we sang, we danced, and for a moment we all felt like one big family.
