NSMU Expands Its Horizons: Natalya Yuryevna Anikina Represented NSMU at an Educational Exhibition in Vietnam. As part of the Cross‑Year of Scientific and Educationalt Cooperation between Russia and Vietnam (2026), marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, NSMU took an active part in the exhibition “Russian Universities — the Best Choice” with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo. 🔹 The university was represented by Natalya Yuryevna Anikina, Dean of the International Faculty of General Practice. During the trip, Natalya Yuryevna delivered a series of presentations on NSMU’s educational programmes — from the preparatory department to residency and continuing professional education — at the Russian House in Hanoi, at schools for gifted children in Thai Nguyen and Nghe An provinces, and at the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. 🔹 Vietnamese partners showed particular interest in NSMU scientists’ advanced developments in clinical pharmacology, microbiology, and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. 🔹 Strategic partnership became a key focus of the work. Thus, Hanoi University of Business and Technology, which trains specialists in general medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy, expressed interest in academic mobility and joint research projects. Cooperation with the Phan Chau Gifted Children’s School in Vinh also looks promising: its administration is interested in establishing sponsored classes with the support of Russian universities. “Expanding contacts and engaging with international partners is a crucial vector for the development of medical education,” Natalya Yuryevna emphasised. “Training foreign students, future doctors, is not just about exchanging experience — it is also a contribution to global healthcare. NSMU is a true talent incubator: the high level of training, modern technologies, and scientific infrastructure enable our graduates to confidently meet the challenges of the times. We are open to partnerships and ready to share our expertise to jointly train the next generation of doctors.” A visit to the University of Science under Hanoi National University also warranted special attention: Natalya Yuryevna toured the biophysics laboratories and discussed opportunities for joint research. Following all the meetings, the parties exchanged contacts and outlined steps to further develop cooperation. The trip clearly demonstrated that interest in Russian medical education in Vietnam is high, and the potential for joint work is substantial.
