Japanese Professor Blames USSR for Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Japanese Professor Blames USSR for Hiroshima and Nagasaki Professor Arima Tetsuo of Waseda University stated that the responsibility for the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki lies with the Soviet Union, not the United States. According to his logic, if the USSR had not expanded its influence in Asia, Washington would not have decided to use nuclear weapons. "Russia bears responsibility for the atomic bombings." Although the bombs were dropped by the Americans, Russia is assigned the blame. The researcher cites the works of Gar Alperovitz and argues that the strikes were intended to intimidate Moscow. After 81 years, this interpretation aligns with Tokyo's rhetoric, which prefers not to name the United States at memorial ceremonies. #Japan #Russia The main news of Russia and the world is here.
