The 6th‑year medical students’ team from the Faculty of Medicine at the Northern State Medical University (NSMU), “Fans of Corvalol”, made it into the top 10 at the 6th All‑Russian Olympiad in Gerontology and Geriatrics, and won 3rd place in the creative competition! The on‑site stage of the 6th All‑Russian Olympiad in Gerontology and Geriatrics was held in Moscow as part of the 2nd Forum “Technologies of Longevity”. The team consisted of: Vladislav Petrov, Lev Duberman, Danila Seliverstov, and Sofya Melnik. The participants were trained under the supervision of Svetlana Vladimirovna Yuryeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Family Medicine and Internal Diseases. The trip proved to be an important professional and educational experience for the team. The students not only represented NSMU at the national level, but also attended the “Technologies of Longevity” forum, where they discussed current issues in modern gerontology, geriatrics, active longevity, and the interdisciplinary approach to caring for older patients. ✅ During the Olympiad, the team successfully completed the on‑site tasks. In the practical round, the participants demonstrated a high level of clinical reasoning, solid knowledge in geriatrics, and the ability to handle complex medical cases, scoring nearly the maximum points. ✅ A separate achievement was the team’s performance in the creative competition: the video clip prepared by the “Fans of Corvalol” for the Olympiad won 3rd place in the final standings! This result confirmed not only the students’ professional training, but also their creative approach, teamwork, and ability to communicate clearly about important aspects of geriatric care. Participating in the Olympiad allowed the students to gain valuable experience, compare their knowledge and skills with teams from other medical universities across the country, and broaden their understanding of current trends in the development of gerontology and geriatrics. ❤ The team expresses their gratitude to their academic supervisor, Svetlana Vladimirovna Yuryeva, for her guidance, support, and assistance at all stages of the Olympiad participation.
