Representatives of the scientific community discussed the prospects of joint projects with the Arkhangelsk Algae Plant ➡In Arkhangelsk, the leadership of the Ministry of Science, the Higher School and Scientific and Technological Development of the Arkhangelsk Region, the Northern State Medical University, the M.V. Lomonosov NArFU and representatives of the FITSKIA Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences met with the leadership of the Arkhangelsk Algae Plant. The purpose is to discuss joint research projects in the field of biotechnology using Arctic bioresources. ✅The parties considered possible options for cooperation in the field of algae processing for the production of unique and sought-after products for various applications. During the meeting, the guests of the enterprise got acquainted with the plant's own developments, the raw material base and the range of finished products, and also visited the production workshops. 💬Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Bylova, Acting Rector of NSMU, noted the contribution of university scientists to the production of various medical preparations from White Sea algae, in particular alginate and mannitol, and also shared her opinion on possible promising developments that could be implemented with the participation of university scientists. 🧬The participants of the introductory meeting discussed further steps to plan joint work, which may also be in demand as part of the creation of the Arctic Star campus software and product line.
