Taking care of the future starts with health: the results of the “Volunteer Doctors” NSMU work during the elections 🇷🇺 From September 18 to 20, health checkpoints run by the Volunteer Doctors operated at polling stations in Arkhangelsk as part of the national project “Youth and Children”. We didn’t just come to the elections — we came to do some good. With the support of the Arkhangelsk Blood Transfusion Station and the Election Commission of the Arkhangelsk Region, we managed to create a unique space for caring for the population. 🗳 Elections are an opportunity for everyone to influence the country’s future. But we are convinced: the future is impossible without health. That’s why we gave thousands of residents of Arkhangelsk who came to the polling stations the opportunity to learn more about prevention, medicine, and a healthy lifestyle. ❓What was organized at the health booths? Over the three days of operation, our volunteers covered 9 key areas: 1️⃣the special project “Student Health Room” — they talked about the importance of medical check‑ups and physical examinations. 2️⃣the “Medical Career Guidance” area — they helped schoolchildren and students decide on their future profession in medicine. 3️⃣The “Promoting Donation” initiative — together with ASPK, an on‑site outreach campaign was conducted to encourage people to join the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors (FRBMD). 4️⃣The “Protecting Hearts” program — participants were educated about the prevention of heart attacks and strokes. 5️⃣The “First Aid” initiative — participants practiced CPR skills, the Heimlich maneuver, and how to call emergency services. 6️⃣The “StomatZdorovye” program — master classes on teeth cleaning and analysis of toothpaste ingredients. 7️⃣The “OnkoPro” program — provided information on the prevention of oncological diseases. 8️⃣The “EndoSfera” program — discussed the prevention of diabetes. 9️⃣The “Sanitary and Preventive Education” area — explained the principles of healthy nutrition. For three days, over 50 volunteers were on duty at polling stations in the capital of Pomorye, so that voters could not only fulfill their civic duty but also take care of their personal health. We are confident that everyone who visited the health and wellness points managed to take the first step towards a healthy future with our support! 📸More photos are in the album.
