On May 20, the Northern State Medical University (NSMU) successfully hosted a meeting for parents of prospective applicants. The event was organised to help families of 11th‑grade students understand the university admission process for 2026: parents received answers to pressing questions and learned about the required exams, passing scores, and study programmes offered at NSMU. 🔹 The meeting was held in a hybrid format, which allowed not only residents of Arkhangelsk but also parents from other regions to take part. Online attendees joined from the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions, the Komi Republic, the Moscow region, and several other constituent entities of the Russian Federation. At the same time, a significant portion of participants chose to attend in person. This gave them the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives and ask all their questions to members of the admissions committee. In total, 119 people took part in the event. 🔹Olga Nikolaevna Gasheva, the Executive Secretary of the NSMU Admissions Committee, delivered the keynote speech. She provided a detailed overview of the admission process at NSMU for 2026 and the current admission rules, highlighted changes in the admission regulations, presented the available study programmes, and emphasised the advantages of studying at the university. 🔹A separate part of the meeting focused on targeted (quota‑based) training. Sergey Petrovich Yakimov, Head of the Department of Personnel Policy and Public Service, spoke about the opportunities and specifics of admission under targeted training agreements. During the meeting, participants actively asked questions. The most discussed topics included the nuances of targeted admissions, the conditions for granting benefits and special rights during admission, and opportunities for research and extracurricular activities for students. ❤ The Northern State Medical University thanks all participants for their interest and active engagement.
