According to the diplomat, mutual interest in exchanging experience, developing joint projects, and expanding practical cooperation remains high. Russian banks, in particular Gazprombank's African subsidiary, are already involved in projects to modernize the country's energy infrastructure. At the same time, Russia is conducting dialogue with Indonesia. Cooperation issues are being discussed on a working basis between relevant agencies, according to the Russian Embassy in Jakarta. However, the topic remains sensitive and is not being made public. Previously, the authorities of Bangladesh, Thailand, and Sri Lanka expressed their readiness to discuss the purchase of Russian oil. According to Reuters, the South Korean government is also considering importing Russian crude oil and petroleum products. Infrastructure and logistics development will be required to launch new supplies. In the case of South Africa, this requires the construction of an LNG terminal. In the oil sector, it is important that local refineries be technologically adapted to Russian grades. Russian businesses are expanding their geographic presence, taking advantage of the window of opportunity opened by the easing of sanctions.
