How far technology has come! Today, we’ll tell you what equipment you might need for your studies at NSMU — and what to do if, for one reason or another, you don’t have it. ✅ Printer This is practically an essential item: you’ll need to print quite a lot throughout your studies. You don’t need an expensive colour printer — a regular black‑and‑white one will handle all the tasks just fine. 🤔 Alternatives: 🔹 Ask friends or fellow students to print something for you. 🔹 Use the services of copy centres. 🔹 Don’t print anything at all and take notes and make drawings entirely by hand (it sounds pretty daunting, but trust us — it’s doable). ✅ Laptop/tablet You’ll often need to prepare presentations, reports, essays, and notes for classes. A handy gadget is the easiest way to get these tasks done. 🤔 Alternatives: 🔹 The universal option: borrow one from friends or fellow students. 🔹 The NSMU Electronic Resources Hall — we’ll tell you more about it in upcoming posts (a little spoiler: it has computers, and it’s free). ✅ USB flash drive Make sure to get yourself a USB drive and never be without it. You can attach a carabiner with a long strap or a large keychain to it so it doesn’t get lost. 🤔 What if you lose it anyway? It happens to the best of us. In this case, you can use your mobile phone as a flash drive — just transfer files from the computer to your phone via a USB cable. Or, once again, ask your friends for help! Stay tuned!
