Employees of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Endocrinology, Ksenia Sergeevna Kostina and Kamila Kakhramonzhonovna Kholmatova, actively participated in the Russian National Congress of Cardiologists. The event was held in Yekaterinburg and brought together over 10,000 participants. Over the three‑day programme, more than 170 scientific sessions were held on a wide range of topics: from primary prevention to advanced surgical techniques and the implantation of various devices; from forest therapy to new gene therapy agents; from major epidemiological studies in Russia and abroad to personalised medicine. 🔹 Kamila Kakhramonzhonovna delivered a presentation. Ksenia Sergeevna, as the chief freelance cardiologist for the Ministry of Health of the Arkhangelsk Region, took part in the Plenary Session of the Board of the Russian Society of Cardiology. 🔹 Evgeny Vladimirovich Shlyakhto, President of the RSC and Director General of the Almazov National Medical Research Centre, presented a report on the society’s activities for 2025–2026. The strategic direction for the development of the country’s cardiology service was defined. 🔹 A meeting was held for participants of the METEOR registry study, which includes a team of doctors from Arkhangelsk. They discussed the initial results of the study and concluded that the project should involve not only cardiologists and therapists, but also endocrinologists and gastroenterologists. ❗ One of the project’s goals is to unite all specialists involved in treating patients with cardiorenohepatometabolic syndrome. “The session dedicated to the implementation of an AI‑based service to support clinical decision‑making was very useful. Various regions shared their experience. Overall, in cardiology there is a clear shift in focus among all specialists towards the early stages of disease development and primary prevention. In other words, we are seeing a revival of Nikolai Alexandrovich Semashko’s theory regarding the key role of preventive care,” - Kamila Kakhramonzhonovna noted.
