The fifth scientific and practical conference “Pomor Urological Readings” has started today at the N. A. Semashko Northern Medical Clinical Center. The conference brought together leading specialists from all over the country: surgeons, professors, and young doctors. Among the attendees are students of the Northern State Medical University (NSMU). Experts in urology, andrology, neurourology, gynecology, and related fields now have a platform where theory meets practice, and complex clinical cases become an opportunity for joint problem‑solving. Nadezhda Alexandrovna Bylova, Acting Rector of NSMU, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants: I am sincerely glad that the ‘Pomor Urological Readings’ have become a tradition. I fully understand how much effort the organizers put into this event, and I thank them for their work. It is especially heartening to see both young professionals and experienced doctors in the hall — their knowledge is a true asset to the field. Many of the patients who come to me — and I hold consultations at the NSMU outpatient clinic — need urological care. Today, we can offer them high‑quality, high‑tech medical assistance. Over the next two days, the conference will cover key areas of modern urology: urolithiasis, urinary tract infections, andrology and men’s reproductive health, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urogynecology, uronephrology, and kidney transplantation, as well as issues related to healthcare organization and the quality of medical care. In addition to lectures and discussions, the program includes demonstrations of surgical procedures and case reviews of complex clinical situations.
