🎉 Today, Mikhail Yuryevich Kirov celebrates his birthday — Professor, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Honoured Doctor of Russia, and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences! Mikhail Yuryevich’s professional journey is a story of deep dedication to anesthesiology and resuscitation. 🔹 After graduating with honours from the Arkhangelsk State Medical Institute, he steadily strengthened the scientific and pedagogical foundation of his work: from assistant at the department to professor, from dean of the international faculty to vice‑rector for research, and since 2011 — as head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at NSMU (Northern State Medical University). 🔹 Mikhail Yuryevich’s research interests focus on some of the most complex and vital areas: sepsis, ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), monitoring, and cardio‑anesthesiology. 🔹 Not only does Mikhail Yuryevich advance science, but he also shapes the professional community. He leads key industry bodies: he is President of the Federation of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators of Russia, heads the Arkhangelsk Regional Association of Anesthesiologists‑Resuscitators, and participates in the work of expert and editorial boards. Under his supervision, dozens of dissertations have been defended, and his publications — more than 710 works, including monographs and articles in foreign journals — serve as a reference point for specialists across the country. 🔹 His contribution to medicine has been recognised with numerous awards: from the “Excellence in Healthcare” badge and the title “Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation” to the M. V. Lomonosov Prizes and distinctions from the Arkhangelsk Region and the Republic of Belarus. 👏🎂 Dear Mikhail Yuryevich, we sincerely congratulate you on your birthday!
