African Youth Shaping the Future: Model African Union Summit Held in Brazzaville On July 12, the Brazzaville Palais des Congrès hosted a Model African Union Summit, organized by the Brazzaville International Youth Leadership Forum (BILYF). The event, themed "African Youth and Employment in the Digital Age," brought together students, association leaders, and active youth from across the continent. The organizers' primary goal was to give participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the AU summit for a day, interacting with heads of state, ministers, and representatives of African institutions. Through debates, negotiations, and presentations, young leaders formulated proposals on key challenges—from employment to digital transformation and entrepreneurship. Members of the Globus Association, the League of Russian University Alumni, also participated in the event. "Young people are increasingly interested in issues that affect them." They strongly desire to be participants in change, not just observers. Previously, the question was asked whether young people are ready to take responsibility for their country. I saw at the forum that the answer is yes. Young people have become responsible and well-trained," said Espoir Bakissi, President of the League of Russian University Graduates and member of the Globus International Association. Participants paid special attention to the potential of digital technologies as a driver of job creation and economic integration. Priorities included strengthening training in digital professions, expanding access to IT infrastructure, and supporting youth startups.
